Quote Tuesday

I discovered this  quote in “Transcendence,” a book written by R.A. Salvatore.  It is book 2 of  fantasy science fiction trilogy.  This is not a genre of books that holds my interest, but at one point, Amazon offered one of this author’s books to Kindle owners at no cost.  I downloaded it and loved it.

“Anger sets you on a path that you can not easily break free of,
even if common sense dictates that you take another course.”

It is my opinion that so many of our leaders or those considered as public figures, think nothing of manipulating facts in such a way that it serves their purposes. The final truth of the matter is irrelevant. In all too many cases, the public is fed “facts” that are either down rights lies or at best, half-truths. I think that the following quote may speak to and explain a  reason for a great deal of the divisiveness in our society.

“There is no class of people so hard to manage in a state, as those whose intentions are honest,
but whose consciences

are bewitched.

 ~Napoleon Bonaparte
