“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing. Hold on through the awful. And relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking. soul-healing. amazing. awful. ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful. ~ L.R. Knost

“I used to extinguish under the weight of living. But one day I reached into my chest, dusted off my courage and asked myself, WHERE’S YOUR FIRE?” D. Antoinette Foy
Quote Tuesday
By taking the time to stop and appreciate who you are and what you’ve achieved – and perhaps learned through a few mistakes, stumbles and losses – you actually can enhance everything about you. Self-acknowledgment and appreciation are what give you the insights and awareness to move forward toward higher goals and accomplishments. ~ Jack Canfield
Ten Things To Do On A Rainy Sunday

Rain on window. http://www.publicdomainpictures.net
- Enjoy the opportunity to snuggle under warm, cozy covers, blissfully alone or with a loved one–guilt free;
- Read the Sunday morning newspaper, complete with the time to tackle the puzzle;
- Have breakfast, coffee, tea, or whatever, so long as it is in bed;
- Eat pancakes or waffles and bacon for dinner on a covered porch with lights twinkling overhead (For just one day, the hell with diets or healthy foods.);
- Pull on your rain boots and head outside to revisit your childhood by splashing in every mud puddle in sight;
- Turn off your phone(s) for uninterrupted time to read a favorite book;
- Take a long hot bubble bath, in candle light, with soft music and a glass of wine;
- Play a board game or build anything with scores of Legos (Children not required.);
- Listen to the entire NPR Sunday morning line up; and finally,
- Take a vacay from social media.
The thing is, your choices are endless. Me? I am going to take a nap.
