With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I intended to, but neglected to, wish you a Merry Christmas. Every year, it seems that there is more to do, and less time within which to do it. In any event, I decided to take a much-needed break from holiday preparations to read through the scores of incoming holiday cards that sat unread in a pile on my table. As I did, I came across a card by Graphique titled “A Christmas Wish.” As I read it, I knew that it encompassed all of the “heart” wishes that I longed for all of us, and that I wanted, no, needed, to share it with you. With it, I offer to you, and your families and/or friends, a Merry Christmas and the wish for a new year filled with happiness, joy, good health, laughter, love, security, the company of family and friends, peace of mind, body and spirit, and abundant blessings. May your every wish come true, and may you have all of this and more.
A Christmas Wish
“May we break down boundaries, tear down walls, and build on the foundation of goodness inside each of us. May we look past differences, gain understanding, and embrace acceptance. May we reach out to each other, rather than resist. May we be better stewards of the earth, protecting, nurturing and replenishing the beauties of nature. May we practice gratitude for all we have, rather than complain about our needs. May we seek cures for the sick, help for the hungry, and love for the lonely. May we share our talents, give our time, and teach our children. May we hold hope for the future very tenderly in our hearts, and do all we can to build for bright tomorrows. And may we love with our whole hearts, for that’s the only way to love.”
