“May the sun shine, all day long,
everything go right, and nothing wrong.
May those you love bring it back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true.” ~ Irish Blessings

“Try to be Kind to Yourself…”

Be gentle with yourself. Imagine your dearest love needing care and comfort. Treat yourself as you would that person. You can’t be there for anyone, if you don’t take care of yourself and honor yourself. Just as the airplane instructions note, you have to put your oxygen mask on first, before you can help others. It is NOT selfish to focus your attention on amazing, compassionate you. It is an act of love.

87 year old Woman from Texas Completed “Fun Run For Cancer” in Honor of Her Son.

Having three children myself, I know that the love of a child is enduring. I can’t imagine the loss that she must feel, and I expect that the sense of ‘doing something’ that derives from this tribute is great. Yet, it is only a balm for her feelings. May she, one day, know happiness. May she, one day, know peace.

Morning Glories

Blue and dark-blue
rose and deepest rose
white and pink they

are everywhere in the diligent
cornfield rising and swaying
in their reliable

finery in the little
fling of their bodies their
gear and tackle

all caught up in the cornstalks.
The reaper’s story is the story
of endless work of

work careful and heavy but the
reaper cannot
separate them out there they

are in the story of his life
bright random useless
year after year

taken with the serious tons
weeds without value
humorous beautiful weeds. ~ Mary Oliver
